Hello my beautiful readers! I am so proud to say that my little blog just turned 2!!! I can't believe how time has flown, really. It feels like it was just yesterday that I took the crazy leap to purchase the Happy Solitude domain name– something I had felt so guilty about initially, committing to spending a yearly fee on something I wasn't sure was going to grow and on which I was not planning to make a living off of.
I thought, what is the point?
But in that moment, a thought came to me that reminded me something very important.
Some people spend much more on a yearly gym membership. I don't go to the gym. This could be my emotional + mental gym, where I can dive deep into my mind and heart, and grow and share my life experiences as a single person... hoping it would benefit those who read it.
And to me, it's been so worth it.
Just comes to show that if you ever have an inspiration to do something, go for it! The rewards almost always outweigh the cost of trying.
I have grown so much and learned so much about myself and what it truly means to be happy in my own solitude. I hope you've gained something from being here, too.
I want to thank each and every one of you for being here with me on my #singlelife journey. Especially those of you who have been here alongside me since the beginning–– your consistent support and kind words are what make me realize what I'm doing matters, and that my mission is needed.
(**Especially those of you who reply to my emailed posts just to tell me how much it's meant to you to hear those ideas/words, it truly makes my day!**).
And for those of you who have more recently joined me, it makes me so excited to know that you are embarking with me on all the life lessons God wants to teach me in my single years. I know it's going to (continue to) be a wild ride ;).
To celebrate this milestone, I am giving away something that I've been dreaming about creating for some time...
My very own in-house designed envelopes!

So yes, thank you for your readership and all the love and support you've given me these past two years. You have no idea how much it means to me <3...
As many of you know, letter writing and slowing down is a theme I've sprinkled around many of my blog posts. Sending a handwritten letter to a friend or family member is something that makes me so happy :).
There is just something so precious and therapeutic about sitting down and really being there with someone... through pen and paper. You can share your intimate feelings and thoughts the way no text, email, or even sometimes phone call allows you to do.
And when writing a letter, the envelope plays such a huge roll. It's what your addressee sees in the mail. It's the first thing they hold in their hands and look at, in exciting anticipation for your message inside.
I am someone who really likes to decorate my envelopes, but sometimes that takes a really long time, and I don't always have the time or energy.
So, for some time now, I have been thinking about designing my own, which I can have already printed and easily ready on-hand.
I reallllly love the way this one turned out. I love how vibrant it is and how the flowers just pop against the teal blue background.
I hope that you enjoyed the expo of my Flora set :).
I will tell you, it's one of my dreams to revive this amazing art of letter writing. I think the world would just be a better, happier place if when we looked in our mailboxes we had more than just love letters from Wells Fargo. I think if everyone embraced the practice of sitting down to write a letter, even just a small little note, we would have a more loving, giving, and thoughtful world.
Wishing you a Happy Monday and wonderful week!
Lots of love,
