Hello.

My name is Stephanie and first of all, ✨congratulations✨ on finding my lifestyle blog, Happy Solitude. My blog is not on Instagram, it's not on Facebook, not on TikTok, and not on Twitter— and never will be. So basically, it's a pretty big deal that you've found it. That's right, you found my secret corner of the Internet. Welcome 😌.

I started this blog in 2018 as an initiative to empower young people to know that they don't have to wait for a relationship to start living their lives— they can find happiness right here, right now with where they are and what they have. My blog focuses a lot on my own single life journey, how to love yourself, and how to slow down and appreciate the little things in life.

My Story

For most of my 27 years of life, I have been single and not really sure how to celebrate this aspect of my life. I've often felt depressed thinking about my singleness. I've felt like my life is on hold, and that I'll only be happy once I have that special someone in my life.

Sound familiar at all?

But as life goes, one day I did fall in love and found myself in a beautiful relationship. It was there, in that relationship, that I learned the sobering truth that even in a loving relationship, you cannot rely on that person for your happiness. It will never be someone else's job to bring sunshine into your life. You will need to do the hard work. It will always be first and foremost your responsibility to choose happiness each and every day...

I am here to tell you that if you're single, you no longer have to wait for your life to start— it's already happening now, here, in the present moment :). Life is full of wonderful things and adventures, and it's about time we see that you don't necessarily need a partner in order to enjoy life to its fullest. You have so many good things to look forward to.

And if you're in a relationship, I want you to know that this place is for you, too. I want you to know that even in your loneliest moments (because relationships have those, too), the truth is that you have a home right inside your heart. There you will find your surest joy, strength, and peace.

I believe that there are no coincidences... whether you've stumbled on here or intentionally sought out Happy Solitude, I hope you know the truth that God has an amazing plan for your life and that truly:

The best is yet to come...

Love,
Stephanie
